We Are Hiring Part-Time and Full-Time Associate Clinicians!

We strive to create a culture that’s built on the same values we emphasize with our clients, one that prizes authenticity, empathy, acceptance, caring, diversity, collaboration, integrity, and respect.

Join Our Team

We are a fee-for-service private psychotherapy practice in British Columbia offering individual counselling, couple therapy, and family therapy to teens and adults. We are a group united by our passion for Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) and the values that characterize this approach. We welcome clinicians wanting to be a part of this incredible community and expand the practice of EFT on the west coast.

At Oceanside Psychology Group (OPG), we are committed to providing high-quality, exceptional care to our clients. We provide evidence-based treatments, such as EFT, Gestalt Therapy, CBT, and DBT-informed treatment. We value psychotherapy integration and a warm, caring, and collaborative environment in which we can learn and grow together. Our ideal candidate is someone who is interested in a long-term career with our practice.

Benefits of Joining Our Team:

  • Referrals are given to you.
  • Competitive compensation for contractual therapists.
  • Administrative and advertising support.
  • Peer consultation, monthly rounds, and EFT clinical consultation groups.
  • Access to a free on-site gym.
  • Well-developed systems and supports in place to assist with caseload management.
  • Secure cloud-based system provides flexibility for completing notes from home (we are a paperless practice and have fine-tuned this experience for clients and therapists alike).
  • Access to a library of psychotherapy books, including the latest books on EFT, CBT, DBT, and more.
  • Flexible schedules and the ability to work both in person and remotely (a hybrid model).

The work we do is impactful, but can also be emotionally and mentally challenging and, at times, an isolating experience. Why do it alone, when you can have the support of a team? We value relationships and believe that we best serve individuals and couples who come to us for help when we work together. We hope to be your next home and look forward to supporting you in your continued growth.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A clinician who likes the idea of setting their own hours without the anxiety of client acquisition.
  • Willingness to see at least 15 clients per week and work at least one evening or weekend shift.
  • Registered Clinical Counsellor or Registered Psychologist in good standing with their regulatory body in BC.
  • Newly licensed graduates and applicants eligible for and seeking registration with the CPBC are encouraged to apply.
  • Training or willingness to be trained in EFT for individuals and/or couples.
  • Commitment to continued professional growth and development.
  • Professional compatibility with the services and philosophies of OPG.

Additional Assets:

  • Interest in working full-time within the practice (20+ hours/week).
  • Certification as an EFT therapist (through ISEFT or ICEEFT).
  • Experience and interest in providing couple therapy.
  • Areas of specialty, such as addictions and trauma recovery.

Positions Available: Part-time (minimum 12 hours per week), full-time (20+ hours per week).

How to Apply:

If you are interested in joining our team, we invite you to submit the following materials to the attention of Dr. Shauna Randhawa (Clinic Director) at reception@oceansidepsychology.com:

  • A cover letter highlighting your relevant training and clinical experience, career goals and interests, and reasons for applying; and
